Interior Finishing
The finish is what you look at every day, and it is where poor workmanship shows up most obviously — a wavy wall, a tile line that drifts, a joint that cracks in the first winter. Apex Azur handles the drylining, plastering and tiling on our own renovation projects, and as standalone work for clients who have the rest of the job in hand.
What We Do
- Drylining, plasterboarding (sheetrock) and plastering
- Interior and exterior wall and floor tiling
- Large-format and natural stone tiling, including travertine and porcelain
- Bathroom and wet-area tiling over a properly tanked substrate
Flat Walls, Straight Lines
Plastering over a wall that was never trued up gives you a smooth surface with a bend in it. We set the boards or the backing out properly first, which costs a little more time at the start and gives you walls that take a light along them without shadows. The same principle applies to floor tiling: the screed and the falls get sorted before any tile is laid.
Working in an Occupied Home
Plenty of this work happens while people are living in the house. We sheet up, control the dust, keep the working area contained and clear up at the end of each day. Clients tell us that tidiness on site is one of the main reasons they call us back, which says something about the standard elsewhere.
