Our aim
We want anyone to be able to use this website, whatever device they are on and whatever help they use to browse. It is built to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines as closely as we can manage.
What we have done
- Text and background colours are checked for contrast.
- The whole site works by keyboard, and the current focus is always visible.
- Headings are used in order, so a screen reader can navigate the page properly.
- Every meaningful image has a text description.
- Text resizes without the layout breaking, and animation respects your “reduce motion” setting.
- The map and any embedded content load only when you ask for them.

Some documents or third-party content we link to may not be as accessible as our own pages. If something on this site is difficult for you to use, please tell us — it helps us fix it.
